COLLEGE LIBRARY

Some books are to be tasted, others to be swallowed, and some few to be chewed and digested: that is, some books are to be read only in parts, others to be read, but not wholly, and with diligence and attention.

Women’s University College of Education has a well equipped library with reading and reference room, with good seating facilities. It houses the best collection of journals and magazines,over 3223 reference books and CD ROMs to support education of both faculty and students.Scheduled library hours form part of the Time Table.

SPORTS

Physical Education is compulsory for the trainees.

HOSTEL FACILITY

Hostel is available for the girls in the University campus itself in this Hill station. Since the hostel facility is Within the campus, students have also easy access to the 24 hours leased line – Internet Facility, E Journals, Library Exclusively for Education.

EXPERTISE WITHIN THE CAMPUS

 The University has well structured and well equipped Post Graduate Departments like Department of Economics and Commerce, Department of Education, Department of English, Department of Tamil, Department of Historical Studies and Tourism Management,  Department of Visual Communication, Department of Physics, Department of Bio-Technology, Department of Chemistry, Department of Mathematics and Department of Music, Department of Computer Science, Department of Information Technology, Department of Family life Management, Department of Sociology, Department of Management, Centre for Women’s Studies. Human Resource of all these departments can be used on request for additional curricular and research inputs.

Apart from the Departments, the College of Education can also get expertise from School of Distance Education, Mother Teresa Women’s University & its sister institution, Mother Teresa Women’s University College, a constituent college of Mother Teresa Women’s University, Kodaikanal.

ASSEMBLY HALL

An auditorium is available to accommodate all the students. Another big hall is there for common classes to accommodate 100 candidates. Separate lecture halls are non allotted for optional subjects.

LAB

Laboratories are specifically established for the following subjects:

Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Psychology, Language, Educational Technology, Information Technology, Arts and Craft.
